Frequently asked questions

Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about bending.

Which factors influence quality in bending?

Bending quality is influenced by several factors:

  • Material properties: The strength, thickness and condition of the material play a decisive role.

  • Machine settings: The correct bending angle, press force and speed must be set precisely.

  • Tool selection: Choosing the right tool influences the precision and surface finish of the bent part.

  • Operator expertise: Experienced specialists use their know-how to increase process reliability and quality.

How does the choice of machine affect production costs?

The choice of machine has a direct impact on production costs. Highly automated, modern machines can increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness while reducing material consumption and error rates. Overall, this leads to lower costs. They also enable shorter set-up times and greater flexibility in processing.

Which materials can be bent?

TRUMPF and AMADA offer a broad range of sheet metal processing machines that can be used for bending various materials. The specific materials that can be processed with these machines depend on the respective machine models and their configurations.
