Surface finish – overrated or decisive?

Manufacturing· 2 min read

Metal is robust, but only the right finishing makes it resistant, durable and functional. Whether powder coating for maximum protection, stainless steel finishing for a precise look or custom engraving for brand presence – at Krieg Elektronik Gehäusebau GmbH we focus on quality down to the smallest detail. Because a strong product deserves a surface that performs as well as its core.

In the world of metalworking, the question is often asked: is surface finishing really necessary or just an aesthetic extra? At KRIEG the answer is clear: it is not only crucial, but a central component of the quality assurance and longevity of our products.

Why is the surface finish so important?

For us, surface finishing means more than just a visual highlight – it protects, reinforces and optimises every workpiece.
Depending on the material and application, we use various finishing techniques to ensure the best possible quality.

Our finishing techniques at a glance

Powder Coating – durability meets perfection

Our state-of-the-art powder coating line delivers an even, electrostatic coating that convinces both visually and functionally. The 235-metre conveyor chain of our line ensures a continuous and efficient process. Thanks to the iron phosphating cleaning and degreasing system, the powder adheres optimally to the surface, ensuring maximum resistance. The result: long-lasting protection against corrosion, scratches and environmental influences.

Stainless steel finishing – robustness with precision

Stainless steel plays a central role, particularly in industrial applications where durability and high quality are essential. We offer grinding and brushing of stainless steel to adapt surfaces optimally to the respective requirements. This mechanical processing not only creates a premium appearance but also improves functionality, for example through reduced susceptibility to dirt.

Printing and engraving – making individuality visible

Whether logos, lettering or markings – we implement designs precisely and durably. For this, we have screen printing and laser engraving at our disposal. These methods allow enclosures and components to be customised, boosting recognition and brand presence. Laser engraving offers a lasting solution, especially where permanent marking is required.

Conclusion: surface finishing as a mark of quality

A high-quality surface finish is not a matter of taste, but of functionality and durability. It protects against external influences, improves resistance and contributes to brand identity. We offer tailored finishing solutions that adapt perfectly to your projects.
